Trusting yourself and moving forward intentionally

Still waiting for the green light?

Have you ever found yourself sitting at a metaphorical stoplight — foot hovering, heart ready — just… waiting?

You know your dream. You feel the pull toward something different, something more. But still, you sit at the intersection, hoping for a sign. A blessing. Someone to say, “Yes, go for it.”

Maybe you think they know better. (Side note: why do we assume everyone else has the answers?)

Maybe you're hoping outside validation will make the decision feel safer.

Maybe — deep down — you just want someone else to go first, so you don’t risk getting it wrong.

But here’s the truth: permission isn’t given. It’s chosen.

The green light you’re waiting for? It’s internal. You already have it. What if you waved yourself forward?

When we pause and really listen, we often realize it’s not about readiness or ability — it’s hesitation. Doubt. That quiet tug-of-war between your gut and your inner critic.

If that sounds familiar, here are a few coaching questions to help you dig deeper:

🔥Where am I holding back because I’m waiting for someone else’s approval?

🔥What would change if I trusted my own knowledge and experience?

🔥Six months from now, what will I wish I’d given myself permission to do today?

Imagine looking back six months from now — proud, not because someone let you start, but because you chose yourself.  You already know more than you think. You’re more ready than you realize.

So — what permission do you need to give yourself right now?

And if the green light still feels hard to see? That’s exactly where coaching can help. Coaching clears the noise, helps you trust your own voice, and take meaningful steps toward the future you want.
